1st & 3rd Thurs of the month: noon - 7 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Wednesdays: reserved for soldiers clearing post, scheduling appointments and OTC purchases.
Closed the last business day of the month for inventory and all Federal Holidays.
All pets must be registered prior to scheduling appointments. Please stop by the Vet Clinic to fill out the required forms.

Child Policy
Safety comes first and children must be able to comply with certain guidelines if they are going to enter the vet clinic. Click here for our policy on allowing children to enter the vet clinic.
Housing Pet Policy
The vet clinic has no ban on the types of breeds they service. The vicious breed policy is a Housing and Garrison Command policy. Click here to download more information on there policy.

(The Vet Clinic does not service animals that are maintained for the purpose of breeding for profit, or animals that are to be sold for profit. Fort Polk JRTC regulation 40-3 states that breeding is prohibited in Picerne Military Housing.)

The Fort Polk Vet clinic is proud to serve the Fort Polk community by offereing routine care , spay & neutering services and minor sick call appointments. We do not however offer emergency services, except for stabilization purposes during our business hours. Please establish a relationship with a vet off post for such services.

We do not see walk-ins, all vaccines must be scheduled appointments. Children 12 and under should be supervisored at all times and daycare must be arranged for scheduled appointments.

 

Keep your pet healthy with regular check ups and heartworm and flea medicine. Fort Polk is in an area with a high number of heartworm incidents. Heartworm preventative is mandatory on Fort Polk.

Lost pets found on post are taken to the vet clinics stray animal facility. Be sure to check with the vet clinic if you have lost your pet. The clinic also offers adoptions. Before you spend hundreds of dollars on a pet, stop by and check out all our animal orphans. The cost of adoption is $115, which includes Spay / Neutering! Lost pets unchipped, and not claimed after three business days will be put up for adoption.
