We had a rockin' good time!

On Feb 7, Spare Time Lounge had their Super Bowl Tailgate party.  Soldiers and Family members came out to enjoy the good food and fun team rivalry as they waited for the game to begin.  Some fans passed the time by joining in on the Quarterback contest. Testing football knowledge and skills, the girls gave the guys a run for their Quarterback bragging rights but were disqualified by not being active duty. Space became limited as people filled up the tables in the Lounge. Families wanting to enjoy the festivities together gathered in the Strike Zone Bowling Center as the game was televised. One young man even spent the afternoon with his Family and friends by celebrating his birthday bowling and Tailgating!

     The Spare Time Lounge is Fort Polk's newest hangout for Soldiers who want to kick back and relax after hours, during their "spare time." The lounge features the biggest current sporting events on their big screen TVs, trivia, music and dancing. Not in the mood to fight the music for conversation? Not to worry. A secluded, glassed-in dance area provides an environment acoustically separated from the rest of the lounge, or a hip covered back patio making Spare Time Lounge a meeting place for all.
