Part Day Preschool and Toddler Programs: These programs are either 2 day or 3 day and run from 8:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. They are designed to provide children with developmentally appropriate activities and social interactions.
Strong Beginnings: This program is designed as a Pre-K experience for children who are 4 years old and entering Kindergarten the following year. This program is 5 days a week and runs from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Hourly Care: Services are available from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Registration and orientation are required before reservations can be made. Reservations may be made 2 weeks in advance and up to 25 hours in one week. For children 6 weeks to 5 years, the hourly fee is $3.50 an hour. Children 6-12 years are charged at $2.50 an hour (reservations for this age group are limited to 2 days a week).
BJACH Satellite Center:
This center is located at the Bayne Jones Community Hospital. This facility offers full day care for infants from 6:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Emergency hourly care can be provided for infants with a current registration through CYSS. Call (337) 531-7041/7045 for more information.
CDC Bldg. 702 offers a variety of programs to meet every parent's need for care and ensures children receive age appropriate activities, balanced nutrition and quality care. This facility offers full day care for children 6 weeks through 5 years of age.
CDC Bldg. 744 offers a variety of programs to meet every parent's need for care and ensures children receive age appropriate activities, balanced nutrition and quality care. CDC 744 offfers three classrooms of child development programming for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age, as well as School Age Services for children 2nd-5th grade.
Before and After School care for LA4, Kinder and 1st-6th grade: Care is offered from 0545-0730 and 1430-1800. Vernon Parish school buses pick the children up by 0730 in the morning. Children in after school care are then transported by Vernon Parish school buses back to center after school. On days when the Vernon Parish schools are out, Full Day care is provided.
